As well as currently being functional, the Samsung CF791 is also atractive. Its super-thin bezels produce the physical screen the issue of your focus. The front panel is not taken up with buttons, with Samsung choosing to use a joystick at the rear of the display for navigating menus.

The stand doesn’t require a lot of space, but offers you tilt and swivel, with a 100mm height range adjustment. In other words, it’s simple enough to get this monitor into a pleasant viewing position. If you’d rather wall-mount it or use an alternative desk stand, the CF791 ships with a VESA-mount plate, which you fit by unscrewing the supplied desktop stand. It required us a few mins to get the CF791 attached to our wall mount.

The HDMI ports arrive pre-configured in HDMI 1.4 mode, so if you want to use the display at its full resolution using these types of connectors, you need to set them to HDMI 2.0. The DisplayPort input comes set as 1.2,even though you can downgrade it to a 1.1 connection if necessary.Samsung-CF791__.jpg
We used DisplayPort 1.2, as it’s the ideal choice for a desktop PC. Running at the full 3,440x1,440 resolution, the Windows desktop looked fantastic, giving us plenty of space for two apps side by side. We discovered that text was big enough, but you can use Windows 10’s scaling alternatives to make text larger if you’re struggling to see what’s going on.With this much resolution on offer, the monitor’s picture-in-picture (PIP) and picture-by-picture (PBP) modes come into their own, allowing you run two devices at the same moment. The display is also exceptionally equally lit up. On average, the screen only varied by around 5cd/m2, which is outstanding.

The Samsung company has also created this display with gamers in mind, fitting it along with AMD’s FreeSync technology and a 100Hz refresh rate.Blisteringly rapid gaming efficiency without tearing is wonderful to see; Nvidia graphics card owners can’t take benefits of the adaptive sync technology, but will still benefit from the high refresh rate. Even if you’re not playing games, the CF791’s high refresh rate is still a huge advantage, as the Windows desktop becomes that significantly smoother, especially
when relocating windows all-around.

The integrated 7W stereo speakers are fine enough for the occasional YouTube video, but
sound a little flat and be short of bass. You are ideal off using dedicated speakers or a headset. The main competitors at this price is the Philips 349X7FJEW, which is the exact same size, and has the same resolution and refresh rate. However, Philips’ monitor has only one HDMI 2.0 input, and we found that its colour precision lagged behind the CF791’s. Given that, the Samsung CF791 is the ultra-wide high-resolution monitor that we would purchase.

The Samsung CF791 34” ultra-wide curved monitor offers you an impressive widescreen viewing experience like no other monitor. With its deeper curve enveloping your field of vision, the 1500R screen let us you have fun with the complete cinematic beauty of movies and puts you right at the heart of all game playing action.
Ultra WQHD enables a screen resolution of 3440x1440 - 2.5 times the pixel density of Full HD - that provides razor-sharp pictures. The higher pixel density also makes a wider screen work area, so you see more content at once without much effort scrolling and zooming when web browsing or viewing big files like as spreadsheets.
